We understand that your vacation can take a year to save for, but only a second to ruin. While you can't do anything to prevent an unexpected storm from closing the airport, you can do something to help cover your travel investment-buy travel insurance.

What to Know Before You Go!

  • Review your documents and verify the spelling of all names.
  • Fill out Forms - before you leave home not at the pier.
  • You may want to call the airline and request seat assignments.
     

If you have purchased airfare through the cruise line, or purchased transfers, a cruise line representative will meet you at one of the following locations:
 

  • The gate when you exit the airplane.
  • As you are walking toward the baggage claim area
     
  • In the baggage claim area
  • If you do not see a representative, go to the nearest desk and have them paged.
     
  • Pack all medications and valuables in your carry-on bag.
  • Carry your tickets, driver's license, and passport (if your trip requires one), or your birth certificate with a raised seal.
  • Ladies, a marriage license is required if your name has changed.
  • We recommend your carry-on includes: your bathing suit and a change of clothes in case your luggage is not delivered until evening.
     

The day before your departure you will need to call your airline to confirm your flight. We would also recommend calling before you retire for the night and again before you leave for the airport. In case of last minute changes or cancellations. In most cases, the airline will place you on another flight.
 

In weather related delays, the cruise line is not responsible if you miss the ship. If you have purchased Travel Guard Insurance you do have options. You will need to call Travel Guard and notify them of your situation. Your options in this case include flying out as soon as weather allows and catching up to the ship if it has sailed, or canceling your trip for a full refund. Travel Guard representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (It is important that you keep your policy number and the emergency numbers for Travel Guard handy -- DO NOT pack them in your suitcase!) We are not always open on the weekend so we may not be available to help.
